Brake & Gear Cable Replacement
Crisp, responsive control — new cables make a huge difference

What we do
Cables stretch, fray and corrode over time — especially if you ride in wet conditions. Old cables make brakes feel spongy and gears sluggish. New cables and outers restore that crisp, responsive feel and are one of the best-value upgrades you can make.
We replace inner cables and outer housing, route them correctly, and adjust everything so brakes and gears work perfectly.

- Outer housing: New outer casing where needed (prevents friction and corrosion)

Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my cables need replacing?
Signs include: sluggish shifting, spongy brake feel, visible fraying at the ends, rust on the inner cable, or stiff/sticky lever action. If your bike is more than 2â“3 years old and the cables haven't been changed, they probably need doing.
Do you replace cables on bikes with internal routing?
Yes. Internal routing takes a bit longer but we have the tools and experience to do it properly.
